Job summary

ifm efector, inc. seeks an Applications Engineer to assess customers' technical needs and tailor sensor and control solutions from its product lines.

You will estimate costs, support sales, and collaborate with engineering to ensure seamless integration and after-implementation problem resolution.

A 2-year technical degree is required; a 4-year degree is preferred. Strong communication and eagerness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 2-year technical degree; 4-year technical degree preferred.
• Experience with sensors and controls for manufacturing or related industry.
• Industrial equipment maintenance experience is a plus.
• 3+ years of technical support experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and solve customer technical inquiries via phone, email, Webchat and Teams
• Promote ifm products to customers when applicable
• Proactively identify areas to improve Customer Support process
• Develop Digital Technical Support Content to be used online to support customers
• Perform customer service duties such as order entry, quoting, stock checking, invoicing, etc.
• Start to understand and learn products in the Complex Product Line
