Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ seeks a customer service oriented professional to handle orders, inquiries, quotes, and credits within an industrial distribution environment.

You will coordinate with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing, and fabrication teams, minimize shipments and costs, resolve order and billing errors, and support promotions and add-on sales through product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in customer service or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a professional manner.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements is preferred.
• Basic computer skills; Windows and Office are a plus.
• Experience with JDE or HydraList is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responds thoroughly and timely to inquiries via phone, email, or direct to customers.
• Receives, processes and coordinates orders, requests for quotation, returns, and credits.
• Works with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing personnel, fabrication shop and other departments to facilitate customer needs.
• Minimizes shipments and expenses to meet delivery requirements.
• Investigates order entry, shipping, and billing errors and coordinates solutions with the appropriate departments.
• Follows up with customers to inform them of the status of their request.
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers regarding service.
• Completes training curriculum and demonstrates competence as defined by management.
