Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related four-year engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of 2D AutoCAD drafting experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment, ductwork, piping, heat transfer, or fluid dynamics.
• Ability to work onsite in Washington County, WI within a 45-minute commute.

Responsibilities

• Draft and design specialized industrial thermal systems and environmental control equipment using 2D AutoCAD for custom client orders.
• Produce fabrication layouts, structural assembly schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with shop floor supervisors, welders, and machinists to ensure design specs fit shop capabilities.
• Develop supporting 3D renderings as needed for design reviews and spatial constraints.
• Own diverse design scopes across core product lines and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Review legacy drawings to improve material yield and reduce manufacturing cycle times.
