6 Degrees Search is recruiting a 2D Mechanical Drafter/Engineer for a Washington County-based manufacturer. This 100% onsite role centers on 2D AutoCAD drafting of custom industrial equipment, BOMs, and fabrication layouts in a clean, low-stress facility.

The position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of drafting experience within manufacturing, with a focus on tolerances and manufacturability. Great stability and growth opportunities offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of 2D AutoCAD drafting in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment, ductwork, piping, or thermal systems.
• Design-for-manufacturability mindset with attention to tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Draft and design specialized industrial equipment using 2D AutoCAD for custom orders.
• Produce fabrication layouts, BOMs, and structural schematics.
• Collaborate with shop floor fabricators and welders to verify design feasibility.
• Develop supporting 3D renderings as needed for reviews.
• Own design lifecycles across core product lines and refine legacy drawings.
