Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking an indoor Lifeguard to support the K-12 aquatics program during fall, winter and spring. Shifts cover school hours, after school, weekends, and summer as needed.

The role requires at least 15 years old and a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or certification provided by MHS). Competitive pay and staff perks are offered in a safe, supervised environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or pass the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class provided by MHS.
• Strong swimming abilities and stamina.
• Ability to work flexible schedule/shifts, including daytime, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant vigilance and supervision to ensure a safe environment during all Aquatics Program offerings.
• Provide continuous surveillance of patrons and address safety concerns for youth and adults.
• Perform water rescues when necessary and respond to distress signals.
• Lift and move pool equipment as needed.
