Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking indoor Lifeguards to staff fall, winter and spring seasons. The school has 3 indoor pools for elementary to high school with shifts during school hours, after school, weekends and summer.

Compensation includes $16.20 per hour, plus free lunches on duty and Hershey area discounts. Applicants must be at least 15 years old, hold or complete American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, show strong swimming and teamwork, and be flexible with schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or willingness to complete MHS course.
• Strong swimming abilities and stamina.
• Demonstrated professional attitude and teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including day/evening/weekends.
• Seasonal summer work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant vigilance and alertness.
• Perform water rescues when necessary.
• Hear distress signals and observe pool area.
• Stand or sit for extended periods.
• Lift and move pool equipment when necessary.
