Job summary

EY is seeking a Tax Technology and Transformation professional to drive indirect tax optimization across client engagements. You will lead teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate cross-functional resources to implement automated tax calculation and reporting solutions.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project leadership, and the ability to travel as needed to client sites. A CPA or equivalent certification path is valued.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate emphasis in accounting with ~6 years indirect tax process experience, or a master's degree with ~4 years.
• Certified or on the path to CPA, bar or equivalent professional membership.
• Experience with indirect tax software like Vertex, ONESOURCE or Avalara.
• ERP exposure to SAP, Oracle or similar procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead client tax departments to peak efficiency and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Transfer tax decision-making to internal tax specialists and coordinate resources.
• Define solutions, oversee technical delivery, and ensure tax requirements are met.
• Lead teams, mentor counselees and manage client-serving business.
• Document current processes, identify enhancements, develop business cases.
• Support indirect tax software/vendor selections and data requirements.
• Implement automated indirect tax calculation and compliance solutions.
• Support data analytics and global digital tax reporting initiatives.
