Job summary

EY is seeking a Tax Technology and Transformation professional in the United States to drive indirect tax processes and technology solutions. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with client tax teams to optimize tax calculations, reporting, and compliance across ERP platforms and third-party tools.

The role requires 6+ years in indirect tax process improvement, a relevant accounting background, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate emphasis in accounting and approximately 6 years of related work experience in indirect tax process improvement or equivalent experience in business or industry; master’s degree preferred.
• CPA license or bar membership or progress toward those mentioned.

Responsibilities

• Help client tax departments operate at peak efficiency and productivity.
• Transfer control of tax decision-making to tax specialists within the client’s tax department.
• Define solutions, coordinate resources, and deliver a finished product meeting client goals.
• Lead a team, mentor counselees, and manage client-serving business.
• Document current state tax processes and controls to identify enhancements.
• Develop a business case to justify tax process improvements.
• Support indirect tax software/vendor selection and data requirements.
• Implement automated indirect tax calculation and compliance solutions.
• Support development of data analytics for indirect tax and global digital tax reporting.
