Job summary

Pelican Credit Union is seeking a Dealer Relations Representative to manage indirect partnerships and act as the primary liaison for dealers and merchants across Louisiana. You will nurture profitable relationships, educate partners on the indirect program, and help expand the dealer network to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities include reviewing agreements, tracking visits, and providing actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of lending experience in a financial institution, including underwriting.
• 2-year college degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Knowledge of dealership operations and indirect finance industry required.
• Willing to travel up to 90% of the time, sometimes overnight.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture positive, profitable relationships with dealers and merchants; educate them on the indirect program.
• Expand the indirect territory of partners based on the Credit Union’s objectives.
• Support and educate dealers/merchants on all aspects of the indirect program to maximize results.
• Review dealer/merchant agreements for completion and accuracy; resolve outstanding items.
• Track and report monthly visits with actionable feedback to strengthen relationships.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
