Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our field team. You will patrol energy corridors, assess vegetation, and classify work per Client standards, applying ISA pruning techniques and ANSI line clearance principles.

Requirements include a forestry-related degree or equivalent experience, GIS and MS Office skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Company vehicle and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience (education may be required depending on client contract).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS software/technology; proficient with Microsoft Suite and iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits; maintain accurate documentation.
• Review work sites for endangered species, habitats, and vegetation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning/removal per Client standards; classify work and apply herbicides as needed.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates; prescribe clearance actions per Client directives.
