Job summary

ArborMetrics seeks an energetic Consulting Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team. You will work outdoors, conduct field patrols along energy corridors, identify vegetation needs, and comply with safety and client standards.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and engagement with landowners. Requirements include a forestry/natural resources background and GIS/Microsoft Office familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/ Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol preparation including organizing records and reviewing sites for habitats.
• Field patrols to identify vegetation for pruning/removal per client standards.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and document findings.
• Engage landowners and agencies, obtaining permissions where needed.
• Ensure safety protocols and compliance with company policies.
