Job description

As a Jostens Independent Sales Representative (1099), you are highly motivated and interested in building your own business. You are entrepreneurial in nature and want more out of life than just a job.

YOU HAVE:
  1. Passion. Contribute to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  2. Sales Skills. Relevant and proven sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C).
  3. Highly Disciplined & Self-Motivated. Demonstrated personal accountability for your own success and development.
  4. Relationship Management. Success in developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through great customer focus.
  5. Technical Skills. Strong business and financial acumen.
  6. Great Communication Skills. Ability to act as a true business partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
  7. Flexibility. Willingness to travel regionally/nationally (percentage varies depending on territory location and demographics).
  8. Experience. Ideally 2+ years of related experience.
  9. Education. A 4-year degree (preferred but not required).
YOU WILL:
  1. Grow. Gain market share through customer and prospect development.
  2. Develop. Build and maintain customer relationships with school administrations, organizations, advisors, teachers, and students.
  3. Advise. Provide guidance to school administration on Jostens products and services.
  4. Ensure Compliance. Comply with all applicable laws related to your services for Jostens.
  5. Maintain. Operate an independent business office.
  6. Manage Operations. Handle all business expenses, including travel.
  7. Team Development. Hire, retain, and compensate staff as needed.
  8. Uphold Integrity. Represent the Jostens brand with accountability, integrity, responsibility, and respect.
