Job description

As a Jostens Independent Sales Representative (1099), you are highly motivated and interested in building your own business. You are entrepreneurial in nature and seek more than just a job.

YOU HAVE:

  • Passion. Contribute to a positive and rewarding school experience.
  • Sales Skills. Relevant and proven sales and/or sales management experience (consultative, educational, B2C).
  • Highly Disciplined & Self-Motivated. Demonstrated personal accountability for your success and development.
  • Relationship Management. Success in developing new business and maintaining customer relationships through great customer focus.
  • Technical Skills. Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Great Communication Skills. Ability to act as a true business partner and communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
  • Flexibility. Willingness to travel regionally/nationally (percentage varies based on territory and demographics).
  • Experience. Ideally, 2+ years of related experience.
  • Education. A 4-year degree is preferred but not required.

YOU WILL:

  • Grow. Gain market share through customer and prospect development.
  • Develop. Build and maintain customer relationships with school administrations, organizations, advisors, teachers, and students.
  • Advise. Guide school administration on Jostens products and services.
  • Ensure Compliance. Follow all applicable laws related to your services for Jostens.
  • Maintain. Operate an independent business office.
  • Manage Operations. Handle all business expenses, including travel for sales.
  • Develop a Team. Hire, retain, and compensate staff as needed.
  • Uphold Integrity. Represent the Jostens brand responsibly, with accountability, integrity, and respect.
