Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care, diagnose, and manage therapies independently with physician consultation as needed.

You will develop and implement care plans, monitor responses, and educate patients while coordinating with the healthcare team. The role includes teaching/mentoring students and contributing to practice guidelines within the system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Nursing license is required.
• Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA is required.
• MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG is required.
• American Heart Association-Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the plan of care for a panel of patients.
• Evaluates health care status, including patient history, exams, tests, risk assessment, and diagnosis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with treatments and medications within guidelines.
• Monitors response to therapy and revises the plan; emphasizes patient education and self‑care.
• Provides patient orientation to APG/BIDCO and seeks physician consultation as needed.
• Precepts nursing students and medical students; leads interdisciplinary education and policy goals.
