Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Positive Support Specialists to support individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs in Intensive Community Residential Services. You will help clients participate in meaningful activities at home and in the community, emphasizing safety, routine, and person-centered goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma (preferred degree in a related field).
• 1–2 years of experience with people with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred.
• Must pass background check (BCA) and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in life skills (meal prep, personal hygiene, community navigation).
• Advocate for individuals rights, medical care, and community involvement.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
