Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota seeks Positive Support Specialists to work in Intensive Community Residential Services. You will help individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs to engage in meaningful activities, while supporting independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR).
• Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills (meal prep, personal hygiene, navigating the community).
• Advocate for people supported in rights, medical care, and in the community.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
