Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independent, meaningful lives. You will provide compassionate, personalized care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ growth.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, implementing behavioral plans, and promoting community integration through activities and outings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
Access to transportation travel locally.
Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB.
Must pass Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Individualized Care: Provide personalized support to residents, developing care plans tailored to their needs and preferences.
Daily Living Assistance: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and other tasks.
Behavioral Support: Implement behavioral support plans with the team to manage behaviors and promote a calm living environment.
Community Integration: Facilitate community engagement and social activities for residents.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals, therapists, and staff to ensure holistic, person-centered care.
