Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Residential Support Specialist to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives. You will provide compassionate care, assist with daily tasks, and collaborate with the care team to support residents.

Responsibilities include creating personalized care plans, helping with daily living activities, implementing behavior support plans, organizing community activities, and working with healthcare

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Access to transportation to travel locally.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and medical clearance (TB).
• Must complete Department of Public Welfare medication training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care with tailored care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and meals.
• Implement behavioral support plans and positive reinforcement.
• Organize and participate in community activities and events.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to share progress updates.
