Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Residential Support Specialist to aid individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving independence and enhancing quality of life. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care and work with a multidisciplinary team to support daily living, safety, and wellness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Access to transportation to travel locally.
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances required.
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Physical/TB as per Department of Public Welfare.
• Medication Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support to residents, developing and implementing care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and meals.
• Implement behavioral support plans in collaboration with the team.
• Organize and participate in recreational activities, outings, and social events.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and staff to ensure holistic, person-centered care.
