Job summary

LifeSkills Unlimited seeks compassionate caregivers to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes or apartments. You will teach daily living skills, assist with personal hygiene, and help clients follow ISP plans and participate in the community.

Responsibilities include monitoring health, following physician orders, and completing required documentation. This role requires weekend availability, strong communication, and a safe, respectful approach to care.

Qualifications

• Readable, written and verbal English
• Ability to follow physician’s orders and healthcare protocols
• Commitment to safety and quality in residential care
• Ability to transport clients in agency vehicles when required
• Must meet background screening and licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist in daily living skills (hygiene, dressing, etc.).
• Support ISP plans and daily activities, chores and money management.
• Monitor health, appearance, and behavior changes.
• Follow physician orders regarding medications and diet.
• Complete required documentation per LifeSkills and regulatory requirements.
• Attend trainings within required timeframes.
• Maintain professional conduct and dignity for all clients.
• Show up on time for assigned shifts and communicate with management.
• Communicate effectively with team and clients to meet care goals.
