Job summary

Envision Unlimited is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support and coordinate services for residents in a CILA setting. The role includes training, schedule planning, and ensuring timely appointments within a supportive team.

The position requires DSP training, TABE testing within 120 days, and a valid driver’s license to drive agency vehicles. This is a full-time on-site role with responsibilities spanning caregiving, documentation, and safety management.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or one year plus two years of full-time related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus five years full-time related work experience required.
• Must have proof of Direct Service Professional (DSP) training and pass TABE test within 120 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and train residents in daily living skills (hygiene, grooming, housekeeping, meals).
• Assist residents to achieve independence per the IHP goals.
• Implement group and individual programs to promote growth in living skills.
• Plan daily schedules including chores, social activities and appointments.
• Complete required documents on time (progress reports, incident reports, MAR sheets).
• Monitor facility safety and perform cleaning tasks to keep environment healthy.
• Supervise residents' schedules to ensure timely arrival to programs/work sites.
• Assist residents with medication management per guidelines.
• Attend and participate in IHP staffing and staff meetings.
• Respond to medical/behavioral emergencies per Health & Safety procedures.
