Royal Community Support in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one, community-based care for an individual living in Garfield. The role emphasizes person-centered support, independence, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.

The DSP will assist with daily living, transport to appointments and activities, and collaboration with guardians and staff to implement individualized plans. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Garfield. Bergen County, NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

Our approach to services is person-centered, meaning we focus on the individual’s preferences in what they would like out of services.

seeking a DSP who can assist her with her activities of daily living. She is classified as total care and requires physical assistance with bathing, toileting, and feeding. Her guardian prefers a Spanish-speaking DSP to ensure clear and effective communication and provide appropriate support for her needs.

Schedule

SCHEDULE: x6 days of service

• Monday – Friday 7:00am – 12:00 (5 hours shift)


• Saturday or Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm (6 hours shift)


• 31 hours a week

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• Valid driver’s license with good driving record


• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required)


• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening


• Authorized to work legally in the United States
