Royal Community Support is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual living in Elizabeth, NJ. This community-based, one-to-one role supports private-home and community participation with person-centered care.

The ideal candidate is patient, professional, and able to work independently in a 1:1 setting while staying aligned with the individual’s preferences. This part-time position emphasizes meaningful engagement and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required).
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning).

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual living in Elizabeth Union County, NJ.

This is a community-based position. The DSP will provide support in the individual’s home and assist with safe, structured participation in community activities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in a one-on-one setting.

Our approach to services is person-centered, meaning we focus on the individual’s preferences in what they would like out of services.

DSP who can provide support and assistance while she attends classes at King University. She would benefit from a dependable and supportive DSP who can help her stay engaged and successful with her academic activities.

SCHEDULE

• Tuesday & Thursday
• 9:30am - 2:00pm
• 4.5 hours shifts
• 9 hours a week

Compensation

Starting Pay: $22–$28 per hour (based on experience and Individualized Service Plan complexity)
