You will document progress and help residents achieve independent living goals. Qualifications include college credits or related experience, DSP training, TABE testing within 120 days, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or one year of college plus two years of full-time related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent plus five years full-time related work experience required.
• Must have proof of Direct Service Professional (DSP) training and pass TABE test within 120 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide training to residents in daily living skills including personal hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, budgeting, socialization, and recreation.
• Assist residents in achieving maximum independent functioning per their Independent Habilitation Plan (IHP).
• Implement group and individual programs to promote growth and development in living skills.
• Assist residents with daily schedules, household chores, social activities, and appointments.
• Complete and ensure timely completion of daily progress reports, MAR sheets, and other documents.
