Job summary

Envision Unlimited is seeking a DSP to provide direct service and administrative coordination for individuals in a community living arrangement in Chicago. The role includes training residents in daily living skills, planning activities, and ensuring timely completion of reports and documentation.

Responsibilities include supervising residents, assisting with medication administration per guidelines, coordinating transportation to appointments, and maintaining a safe, clean living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have proof of Direct Service Professional (DSP) training.
• Pass TABE test within 120 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide training to residents in daily living skills including personal hygiene, housekeeping, meal planning, money management, socialization, and recreation.
• Assist residents in achieving maximum independent functioning per IHP goals.
• Implement group and individual programs to promote growth toward independent living skills.
• Plan and supervise meals and daily schedules, household chores and appointments.
• Monitor safety, health, and wellness of residents; respond to emergencies.
