Institute for Community Living Inc. (ICL) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide care in a residential setting. You will help individuals develop daily living skills, supports, and independence with supervision.

AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid certifications are emphasized, and some shifts may require a NY driver's license. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a DSP certificate (or ability to obtain within six months).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DSP certificate from an accredited organization required or obtainable within 6 months.
• AMAP, SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid certifications required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Valid NY driver's license with clean record may be required depending on shift/location.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration (per AMAP).
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities, including meal prep and safe food handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment, including housekeeping and fire safety.
• Promote development and independence through skill-building, recreation, and transportation.
• Encourage communication, money management, and social/leisure activities; document progress and participate in planning.
• Apply behavior management techniques and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
