Job summary

BRC is seeking a dedicated case manager to oversee a homelessness-focused caseload in New York City. You will meet clients regularly, keep clinical files up to date, and coordinate housing and entitlements while working with clinical staff.

The role emphasizes motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and moving clients toward independent living. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, based in NYC with off-site client visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Able to work in a high stress/volume environment and maintain team communication.
• Knowledge of addictions, recovery, and group dynamics; CPR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients regularly and ensure clinical files and reports are complete and up to date.
• Make weekly visits to client rooms located off site, drop off reminders, and conduct room inspections.
• Assist clients in securing entitlements, housing applications, housing interview prep, and housing appointments.
• Coach clients toward independent living and accompany them to appointments as needed.
