Job summary

Heron Ridge Associates, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Independent Licensed Therapist (LMSW, LPC, LMFT) to join our Brighton, MI team. You will provide behavioral health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs.

As a Licensed Clinician, you will form strong provider‑patient alliances, perform outpatient psychiatric evaluations, and coordinate care with external providers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
• Clear, active and unrestricted license (LMSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Form excellent provider‑patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
• Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations
• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Provide mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and/or couples
• Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence‑based methods
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Education

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
