Job summary

Smart Care is hiring a hands-on field service technician to diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration, cooking, warewashing, and related equipment for restaurants, hotels, and hospitals. You will work independently, manage your own schedule, and travel as needed, including on-call rotations.

The role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for advanced certifications, and clear paths into senior technician and management roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of technical refrigeration/HVAC or kitchen equipment experience
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to participate in emergency on-call rotation, including some nights and weekends
• Ability to travel overnight occasionally
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• EPA/CFESA or other relevant licenses/certifications (preferred)
• Commercial refrigeration or cooking-equipment repair experience (preferred)
• Ability to prioritize workload without supervision

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and specialty food-service equipment
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics without hesitation
• Build relationships with customers who will be genuinely thrilled to see you
• Work independently, manage your schedule, and solve problems without constant supervision
• Earn quarterly bonuses by meeting productivity and efficiency goals
