Independent Field Service Technician — Vending & Refrigeration

Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a skilled technician to install, set up, repair and maintain vending, cooling and fountain equipment at customer accounts. You will diagnose equipment problems and work independently with frequent customer contact.

Responsibilities include driving to locations, performing repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and carpentry, performing PMs, documenting work, managing parts, and ensuring reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repair of appliances.
• Experience serving customers and communicating with store managers.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems (Freon, compressors, evaporators, condensers).
• Understanding electrical systems and plumbing related to equipment.
• Ability to plan and set work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending equipment.
• Unload and reload products as necessary.
• Install equipment and connect lines including water and gas supply and drains.
• Prioritize and schedule service and PM calls to meet windows.
• Drive to locations and perform necessary repairs (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry).
• Record accurate equipment and customer information and complete paperwork on time.
• Maintain parts inventory on service vehicle.
• Build positive relationships with customers during service calls.
