Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and service security systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues with burglar, fire, CCTV, and card access systems and coordinate with authorities as needed. Independent field work from a remote location is expected.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3–4 years of relevant experience, and a Hirsch certificate. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service security systems for customers.
• Advise customers and care center on system status and inspections.
• Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and Card Access systems.
• Work independently with provided tools from a remote location.
• Provide solutions and outcomes during service.
