Job summary

Malama Health is expanding its doula provider network in Minnesota and seeks experienced birth doulas to support pregnant and postpartum Medicaid members. As a Malama doula, you remain an independent practitioner while Malama handles enrollment, credentialing, billing, and payments.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Responsibilities include non-clinical prenatal, labor, and postpartum support, documentation, privacy compliance, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Experienced birth doula practicing in Minnesota.
• Approved for the Minnesota Doula Registry, or eligible and willing to complete the registration.
• Willing to complete Minnesota Medicaid and health-plan enrollment and credentialing requirements.
• Experience providing prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support.
• A people person and team player; Be the Bridge values positive support and honest feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum doula support.
• Provide culturally responsive emotional, informational, and physical support.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.
• Follow privacy, documentation, quality, and payer requirements.
• Coordinate with Malama’s care team when support is beyond scope.
• Support provider enrollment, credentialing, billing, and administrative processes.
• Set availability and continue operating own doula practice alongside Malama.
