Job summary

Malama Health is expanding its doula network in Minnesota. As a doula, you will operate as an independent contractor with Malama handling provider enrollment, credentialing, billing, and payments.

You will provide non-clinical prenatal, labor, and postpartum support and coordinate with the care team as needed. Ideal candidates are experienced birth doulas in Minnesota, approved for the Minnesota Doula Registry or eligible to enroll, and capable of completing Medicaid enrollment and credentialing

Qualifications

• Experienced birth doula with Minnesota practice
• Approved for Minnesota Doula Registry or eligible to enroll
• Willing to complete Medicaid enrollment and credentialing requirements
• Experience providing prenatal, labor and postpartum support
• Be a positive, empathetic team player with community roots and mission-driven mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum doula support
• Provide culturally responsive emotional, informational, and physical support aligned with member preferences
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services
• Follow privacy, documentation, quality, and payer requirements
• Coordinate with Malama’s care team when support is needed beyond doula scope
