Job summary

Malama Health is expanding its doula provider network in Minnesota and seeks experienced birth doulas to support pregnant and postpartum Medicaid members. Doulas operate as independent contractors with Malama handling the administrative side, including enrollment, credentialing, billing, and payment.

You will provide prenatal, labor, and postpartum support, maintain documentation, and coordinate with the care team while maintaining flexible practice and client-centered service.

Qualifications

• Experienced birth doula practicing in Minnesota.
• Approved for the Minnesota Doula Registry, or eligible and willing to complete the registration process.
• Willing to complete Minnesota Medicaid and health-plan enrollment and credentialing requirements.
• Experience providing prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum doula support.
• Provide culturally responsive emotional, informational, and physical support.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.
• Follow privacy, documentation, quality, and payer requirements.
• Coordinate with Malama care team for needs beyond doula scope.
