Job summary

Malama Health in Louisiana is expanding its doula provider network and seeks experienced birth doulas to support Medicaid members. You will remain an independent practitioner while Malama supports enrollment, credentialing, billing, and payment.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employment position. You set your availability and can continue operating your own doula practice with Malama handling administrative processes and paying on a regular schedule for reimbursable

Qualifications

• Experienced birth doula practicing in Louisiana.
• Approved for the Louisiana Doula Registry, or eligible and willing to complete the registration process.
• Willing to complete applicable Louisiana Medicaid and health-plan enrollment and credentialing requirements.
• Experience providing prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support.
• A people person and team player. Be the Bridge value; positive and empathetic when supporting members and open to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum doula support.
• Provide culturally responsive emotional, informational, and physical support aligned with each member's preferences and needs.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.
• Follow applicable privacy, documentation, quality, and payer requirements.
• Coordinate with Malama's care team when a member needs support outside the doula scope of practice.
