Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and improving daily living. You will support daily living activities, help with transportation to community activities, document observations, and promote independence while maintaining a safe environment.

Required: high school diploma or GED, CPR/FA, TB screening, active driver’s license, 18+, English proficiency, and NCI/CPI training

Qualifications

• NCI/CPI Training required
• CPR/FA certification required
• TB screening
• Active driver’s license
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English
• Tech proficiency with mobile devices for documentation
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal prep, and housekeeping
• May transport clients to and from community activities
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities
• Document observations and progress on goals and maintain a safe environment
