Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home and community.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, transport to activities, documenting progress, and promoting independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, CPR/FA, NCI/CPI training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• CPR/FA certification required.
• NCI/CPI training completed or willing to obtain.
• Strong English communication skills and documentation ability.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and chores.
• Transport clients to community activities when needed.
• Support development goals and foster independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany clients on outings.
• Document observations and progress toward goals; ensure a safe environment.
