Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in El Paso is seeking a QLT Incoming Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift. The role involves verifying wiring, testing switchboard products, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards at 7800 Trade Center Avenue.

The position offers $19.76/hr plus $1.00 shift differential, with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Candidates must meet basic education and experience requirements and be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; no relocation benefit offered (within 50-mile radius of El Paso).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard products per instructions and regulations.
• Perform electrical testing using Hi-Pot, continuity, and device testers; verify function of switches/circuit breakers.
• Examine mating structures to ensure completeness and proper field installation.
• Verify revisions to production documentation and ensure current revisions are used.
• Document non-conformances and communicate them for corrective actions.
• Serve as informal trainer to production staff and support complex tasks.
• Troubleshoot and update test setups and procedures as needed.
