Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in El Paso is hiring an Incoming Quality Inspector to verify wiring, components, and perform electrical testing per procedures. The role supports timely order fulfillment and adherence to quality standards.

The position requires knowledge of test equipment, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documents, with a focus on quality and safety. Eligible candidates should be within the El Paso area and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.
• Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Inspector position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in switchboard assembly.
• Computer literate.
• Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Electronics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard product on all lines per instructions and requirements.
• Use Hi-Pot, continuity test, and testing devices to perform electrical testing.
• Examine mating structures to ensure complete job and proper field installation.
• Verify revisions and current documentation are used; update paperwork accordingly.
• Thoroughly document non-conformances and communicate results for improvement.
• Serve as informal trainer for production associates and support teamwork.
• Troubleshoot and update test setups or procedures as needed.
