Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in El Paso is hiring a QLT Incoming Quality Inspector - 1st Shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri). The role focuses on verifying wiring, components, and program controllers, and conducting electrical tests to ensure timely order fulfillment and adherence to quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma (or technical degree) and prefers 2+ years in quality/inspector roles. Knowledge of switchboard assembly and lean concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 6 months manufacturing or military experience OR a technical degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit; must reside within 50-mile radius of El Paso facility.
• Preferred: 2+ years in quality/inspector roles in manufacturing.
• Preferred: experience with switchboard assembly; lean concepts knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard products on all lines per instructions and standards.
• Perform electrical testing using Hi-Pot, continuity testers, and torque checks.
• Verify wiring, components, and torqueed connections for quality and safety.
• Document non-conformances and rework requirements; update records.
• Train production staff and assist with complex tasks as needed.
• Ensure revisions are reflected in documents and procedures.
