Job summary

Englewood Schools is seeking a Learning Support Special Education paraprofessional to provide direct support to students with mild to moderate learning disabilities at Englewood Middle School. You will assist with academic instruction, behavior management, and social-emotional development, collaborating with teachers and families to implement IEP goals.

The role may involve bus duties and supervising students during bus runs in the morning and afternoon, contributing to an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• English fluency will be determined through the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized or small-group instruction to students, reinforcing concepts taught by the teacher.
• Assist students with completing assignments, using accommodations and modifications as specified in their IEPs.
• Implement instructional strategies and techniques as directed by the teacher.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning styles.
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization.
