Job summary

Poudre School District in Fort Collins is seeking a Paraprofessional Integrated Services I to support students with mild to moderate disabilities under general and special education teachers. The role focuses on instructional, physical and behavioral support to help students access the curriculum.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, managing behavior, supervising during transitions, assisting with personal care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working with special needs students preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• If assigned to a Title I school, at least two years of higher education or an associate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general classroom or special education teacher in delivering targeted instruction and adapting materials for diverse learners.
• Support students in general and special education settings with assignments and projects.
• Use behavior intervention strategies to support social and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with staff to implement IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Supervise students during transitions and maintain safety.
• Help with data collection, attendance and planning.
• Participate in training and school initiatives.
• Adapt quickly to changing student needs.
