Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret Behavior Intervention Plans and IEPs.
• Ability to collect data, write routine reports and simple correspondences.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts as part of data tracking.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtainable within 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with disabilities in IEP-guided settings.
• Modify materials and classroom environment under direction of teachers.
• Identify peer relationships and natural supports; monitor safety in various areas.
• Follow behavior intervention plans and de-escalate as needed.
• Maintain forms and records and communicate progress with staff.
• Attend trainings and student staffings as required.
