Reports To: Principal. This anticipated vacancy may start as a Long-Term Substitute; hire confirmed when the position is vacated and the start date is determined.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and MA teaching license with SEI Endorsement or ESL license for the appropriate grade.
• Must meet state and federal licensing requirements to be Highly Qualified and work in the United States by start date.
• Salary and compensation are determined by the Boston Public Schools and unions.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elementary General Curriculum in an inclusive setting with Special Needs and English Learners.
• Implement district goals and align with state frameworks; identify access points for portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays; monitor progress.
• Write and implement IEP goals and provide regular progress reports.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and prepare for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
• Collaborate with staff to support modifications for student needs.
