Job summary

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is seeking Inclusion Support Staff to assist participants with disabilities in recreation programs, childcare, classes, and events across Prince George's County. Work hours vary by assignment, with positions at multiple Northern, Countywide, and Southern locations including Upper Marlboro.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, participants, and parents/guardians.
• Willingness to participate in all program activities and assist with the adaptation of activities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide professional, respectful, and inclusive customer service to participants with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with disabilities in accessing and actively participating in recreation programs, childcare, classes, and special events.
• Adapt activities, provide individualized support, and encourage social interaction and engagement with peers.
• Communicate with program staff, supervisors, participants, and families while documenting and addressing participant needs as appropriate.
