Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) Aquatics and Athletics Facilities Division seeks a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker- Program Support to provide year-round seasonal support for facility operations, custodial duties, minor maintenance, and program needs at the facility.

You will assist with daily operations, set up and break down event equipment, general grounds and building maintenance, and related support tasks; the role requires initiative, safe work

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age, per program requirements.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods while performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean locker room areas, including showers, toilets, and floors.
• Clean pool deck area and shared staff areas.
• Perform minor maintenance on exercise equipment.
• Support daily facility operations and event setup/breakdown.

Job description

The Aquatics and Athletics Facilities Division of the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker- Program Support to provide year-round seasonal support for facility operations, custodial support, minor maintenance projects, and program needs at the facility.

The successful candidate will assist with daily facility operations, setup and breakdown of event and program equipment, general grounds and building maintenance, and related support assignments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, safe work practices, teamwork, customer service, and the ability to use tools, equipment, carts, and related maintenance equipment safely.

Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Work hours

• Work hours vary, must be available evenings and weekends

Working Conditions/Environment

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, humidity, and cold
