Job summary

Henry County Public Schools seeks a Special Population Paraprofessional (Inclusion) to assist in planning and delivering learning experiences that meet diverse student needs under the supervision of the principal and special education teacher.

The role emphasizes creating an inclusive classroom, supporting instructional activities, maintaining records, and participating in ongoing staff development and Safety Care training.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or 48 college credits, or ParaPro exam.
• Ability to plan and provide learning experiences aligned with student IEPs.
• Commitment to staff development and Safety Care training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning a program of study that meets student needs within IEP goals.
• Instructs students at designated locations and times regularly.
• Creates an engaging classroom environment supporting learning objectives.
• Supports instructional program delivery to meet student needs.
• Prepares materials and organizes supplies before instruction begins.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives clearly.
• Utilizes methods and resources to motivate students to achieve goals.
• Maintains safety and orderly classroom environment and proper records.
