Job summary

Henry County Public Schools is seeking a Special Population Paraprofessional to support students under the supervision of the Principal and special education teacher. The role involves planning appropriate learning experiences, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe classroom environment that supports student growth.

The ideal candidate will assist in instructional planning, communicate with students and staff, and participate in staff development and Safety Care training as required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 48 credits or ParaPro examination passing score.
• ParaPro examination passing is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning experiences that meet student needs and IEP goals.
• Meet and instruct students at designated times and locations.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes learning engagement.
• Assist in providing an instructional program to meet student needs.
• Prepare materials and organize supplies before instruction.
