Job summary

Antolin is a leading global automotive supplier with a mission to ensure quality across the supply chain. The Customer Quality Engineer will lead quality programs, supervise technicians, and drive continuous improvement on products from 0km through warranty.

You will manage supplier coordination, participate in PPAP/APQP, and utilize tools like 8D, FMEA, SPC, and metrology to maintain robust quality plans. English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering or manufacturing field is required.
  • ASQ CQE certification is desirable, higher degrees optional.
  • 3+ years in automotive quality engineering with APQP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of Quality Technicians and Auditors as needed.
  • Lead customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned scope.
  • Monitor deviations on Customer Scorecards to ensure satisfaction.
  • Interface with suppliers on quality issues including APQP/PPAP.
  • Maintain control plans, PFMEAs, gage instructions and quality docs.
  • Lead root-cause analysis using 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, and Pareto.

Mission:

Provide the Best Experience to the people from the automotive interior by ensuring product and process quality throughout the supply chain by leading effective quality systems, supporting customer satisfaction, and preventing defects from 0km through warranty stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates activities of Quality Technicians / Auditors as needed.
  • Train / mentor subordinate Quality Personnel as needed
  • Responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
  • Monitor and act on deviations in the Customer Scorecards to ensure Customer Satisfaction
  • Responsible for supplier interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities including APQP/PPAP.
  • Responsible for sample submissions for new product or engineering changes.
  • Maintain control plans, PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and other assigned quality plan documentation
  • Lead problem solving activities for internal and external concerns relating to assigned responsibilities.
  • Use of problem-solving tools such as: 8D, Ishikawa, 5W2H, 5 Why’s, Pareto, paynter charts.
  • Use of statistical tools such as: CPK, PPK, Histograms, Dispersion diagram.
  • Maintain Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) documentation for assigned programs
  • Develop, implement and maintain data collection and metric systems to ensure effectiveness of quality systems.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by Management. Has the authority to approve sample submission documentation.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.
  • Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
  • Grupo Antolin Quality Systems including Test Tool Management, QIM Management, NCR, SAP as applicable.

What we are looking for:

  • Educational Requirements:Minimum four (4) year degree is required. An ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is desired, and a Master’s degree is optional.
  • Experience:At least 3 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in supplier and customer‑related quality engineering is also required, along with at least 1 year of experience working with APQP on new products within the automotive industry.
  • Physical Requirement:Work involves both office and manufacturing settings. Office tasks require sitting or standing at a computer and using standard equipment. Manufacturing tasks may require walking or standing for extended periods, performing inspections, light lifting, and wearing required PPE.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Core AIAG quality training, including PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, and SPC.
    • Strong competency in metrology, blueprint reading, statistical techniques, and color/appearance measurement.
    • Effective communication, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and defect‑identification skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with Antolin systems such as BEONE, SAP, QIM, and NCR (preferred).
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish language ability is desired.
