Job summary

Antolin in Shelby Township, Michigan, is seeking a Product Knowledge Manager to ensure engineering standards are applied across offers, projects and serial production. The role includes benchmarking, improving specs, and coordinating knowledge transfer between HQ and local teams.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3 years in the automotive sector and experience as an Interior Trim Product/Process Engineer, with strong communication and mobility in an office or manufacturing

  • 3 years of experience in the Automotive sector.
  • 3 years of experience as an Interior Trim Product or Process Engineer.
  • Professional communication and representation skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand and move around office or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the internal technical standard specs (stored in the KM BeOne tool) are met.
  • Benchmark best technical specs available in the market, including suppliers and competitors.
  • Continous improvement of the standard technical specs, applying lessons learnt from projects and best practices from HQ.
  • Look for better technical solutions in terms of engineering, quality and cost.
  • Guarantee the application of the standard technical specs in all offers and projects; promote its use in serial production.
  • Support adaptation of these standards to project-specific requirements and assist in creating project specs.
  • If applicable, release Purchasing RFPs.
  • Support preliminary approvals for product and process design, including quality, capacity and documentation.
  • Manage transfers of knowledge between HQ and local engineering group.

Mission:

The Product Knowledge manager must ensure that Antolin projects apply the best possible engineering solution (in terms of engineering, quality and cost) in our offers, projects and serial production, exceeding market expectations.For predefined designs, ensure that the customer design meets Antolin feasibility guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the internal technical standard specfications (stored in the KM beone tool) are met. For it, it is needed that he is aware of all related engineering competences (product, process, validation..).
  • Benchmark best technical specs available in the market, including suppliers and competitors.
  • Continous improvement of the standard technical specs, applicating all Lessons Learnt from Projects and all Best Practices from the central HQ.
  • Looking for better technical solutions in terms of engineering, quality and cost.
  • Guarantee the application of the standard technical specs in all offers and projects. Promote the application of these standards in serial production.
  • Support the adaptation of these standards specs to the specific requirements on each project / plant, therefore supporting the creation of the specific project specs.
  • If applicable, release the Purchasing RFP's
  • Support preliminary approvals for product and process design, including quality, capacity and documentation.
  • Manage the transfers of knowledge between the central HQ and the local engineering group
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in the Automotive sector
  • 3 years of experience as an Interior Trim Product or Process Engineer
  • Professional and effective communication and representation skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand and have mobility to move around the office or manufacturing environment, when needed.
  • Ability to conduct extended computer work and lead discussions with employees.
  • Visits to customer facilities and plants may require extended standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, move and manipulate parts required.
  • May require domestic and international travel
